About Mazut

Mazut is considered to be a low quality, heavy fuel oil. This type of fuel is typically used in generating plants. Furnaces that burn Mazut are commonly referred to as "Waste Oil" heaters/furnaces.

Mazut-100 is fuel oil that has been manufactured according to the Russian GOST standards. M100 is typically used for large boilers in producing steam, due to the fact that the BTU is high.

Sulfur is the main difference between the various types of Mazut 100. Grades are represented by the sulfur content as follows:

Very Low Sulfur [contains 0.5% Sulfur]

Low Sulfur [0.5 - 1.0% Sulfur]

Normal Sulfur [1.0 - 2.0% Sulfur]

High Sulfur [2.0 - 3.5% Sulfur]
