About Waste Oil |
Waste Oil and RF Global Holdings
Waste Oil is considered to be any synthetic oil or petroleum that has become unsuitable for its original purpose due to contamination. This type of oil should not be confused with "Used Oil", which is any synthetic oil or petroleum that has been used. Waste Oil must be properly disposed of in order to prevent environmental issues.
Waste Oil should be stored in tanks or containers that are in good condition and do not contain any leaks. A proper spill prevention plan must also be in place.
Several examples of waste oil are as follows:
Industrial Lube oils, such as railroad, metal working oils, turbine-lubricating oils and marine oils
Industrial Non-Lube Oils, such as transmission-quenching oils, non-PCB (less than 50ppm) transformer oils, and hydraulic oils
Oil that has been recovered from discharges onto land or water
Lubricating Oils or Automative crankcase
Oils from deballasting operations and tank cleaning
